How to Change a Partition (C:,D Drive) Size







Welcome to the post that shows how to resize your drive space.Partitions are very useful if you want to separate your operating system from your documents (allows for easier OS reinstallation), and most manufacturers include a recovery partition in lieu of a recovery disc with new computers.


If you want to create, delete, format, or resize hard drive partitions,Easeus Partition Master lets you do this quickly and for free.

NOTE:-Before you begin: As with any software that modifies your hard drive, partitioning can cause data loss if something goes wrong. Be sure to backup any important data before following this guide.

Kindly Follow Following step for how to resize your drive space.

Step 1: Download and install Easeus Partition Master.
Step 2: Open the program. show bellow screen shot. Click on " EaseUp partition master Free"
Step 3: Front and center are all disks connected to your computer. Connected drives are listed as Disk1, Disk2 etc. Under each disk header, you will find all partitions of the respective disk and their properties.

Step 4: Here i want to decrease " C Drive Space" and Increase " D Drive Space"
    • Click on " C Drive"  from EaseUp partition master Free software.
    • Click on  " Resize/Move" Button.
Step 5: when you click on Resize button, one window open which will regarding how much move resize space of selected drive.you just move cursor as per your requirement then click on ok button.

 when you click on ok button, here you can see free space available in Following screen shot.

Step 6: Now ,you have do same process for D drive but here you have increase space.
It is automatically adjust free space with D drive.


Step 7: now Finish, But when you close this software it will asking you some conformation 

information. Here i am share screen shot you just click on ok button for further process.

Step 8: Click on Yes Button for Further process.Before you click Yes to both of these, please make sure that you have backed up your important data.  Resizing a partition can be dangerous and there is always a risk of failure.  If you have confirmed that you have a recent backup, click Yes and get ready to kill some time.


The operation as described above took almost four hours to complete.  I wasn’t expecting it to take that long, so it actually seemed much longer as I watched the clock waiting for the work to finish.  Here is a screenshot of what you can expect after the reboot.
Step 9: After the four hour waiting period, Windows booted back up as normal and the new sizing was in effect
