Laptop's Touchpad Not Working On Ubuntu 16.10/16.04 [FIX]

So manny People Don't know what to do if Touchpad not working in ubuntu.We know most of people are using Windows OS. Here I am sharing tip and Fix issue of Touchpad. This is Common issue.

When you reinstall Ubuntu or  installed fresh Ubuntu then you definitely face issue of WiFi and Touchpad. I search iALtn google ,stackoverflow every where. Finally I got Solution and here I am sharing my knowledge.

When you install Ubuntu sometime it not configuration properly or not support to your specific hardware.

There are Main Two Method.

1.Download .Deb file 
2.Install xserver using apt-get 

Method 1:- Download .deb File
1. Open Terminal (Ctr+ALT +T)

2. Type and Install "sudo apt-get install dkms"

3. After installation compilation type in Terminal 

"wget https://launchpad.net/~hanipouspilot/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+files/elantech-0608-dkms_0.2_all.deb "

4.Then Type in terminal " sudo dpkg -i elantech-0608-dkms_0.2_all.deb "

5.Type " sudo apt-get -f install "

6.In last " sudo reboot"

Now check your touch pad is working.

Method 2:- Install Xserver

2.1 Open Terminal (Ctr+Alt+T)

2.2 Run Update Command in Terminal " sudo apt-get update "

2.3 Run " sudo apt install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics "

OR

2.4. If already installed then run This Command
     " sudo apt install --reinstall xserver-xorg-input-synaptics "

2.5. Reboot your system " sudo reboot"
